Doyle Eugene Fletcher, 84, of Krum, TX, passed away at home on March 2, 2024, and will be deeply missed by many.
Doyle was born on June 23, 1939. He spent his early childhood years in Krum. He graduated high school in Decatur. He received his college degree at Cooke County. Doyle was the first police officer in Krum.
Doyle also worked in the police department at North Texas University. He worked several years for Mitchell Energy. He owned a body shop and made and designed lamps with his wife, Carol. For the last 20 years, he has sold racing fuel with his business Precision Race Fuels.
Doyle had a love of animals, race car driving, being outdoors and being with his family.
He also served in the military for 6 years in the army national guard. He was away for one year during the Berlin crisis waiting for deployment.
He really enjoyed a particular trip, in the 1990's, with Carol to Tennessee and discovering more about the Fletcher family history and Fletcher's Ford River.
Doyle is survived by his wife of 30 years, Carol DeLoach Fletcher, daughter, Suzanne Hageman and son, David Fletcher, stepdaughters Laurie Moore and Karen Rogers and stepson, Michael Glover. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A private burial was held Tuesday, March 5th at Krum Jackson Cemetery.
A celebration of Doyle's life will be held at a later date.
