Doyle Ray Franks, of Krum, Texas passed away on June 21, 2021 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on January on January 14, 1945 in Stoney, Texas to Harria Oscar and Delia Mae (Monds) Franks.

He graduated from Krum High school in 1963. He attended North Texas State University now University of North Texas. Married Ruby Nell Manry on July 22,1966 at Asbury Methodist church in Denton. Married 54 years. Had first and only child in 1969. He worked in print shops for most of his life. Then after retiring from Texas Instruments, he worked and managed Harley Davidson shops in Dallas and Waco, Texas.

He loved building and restoring antique Harley knuckle heads and enjoyed time with wife, daughter and grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby of Krum, daughter, Rhonda Whitington of Ft. Worth, grandchildren, Caroline and Ethan Whitington.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and brothers; Charles, Howard, James and Junior Franks.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 1-2PM in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with Rev. Buster Noah officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.
