Dudley Wayne
Stiles
December 29, 1941 – June 19, 2017
Dudley Wayne Stiles, 75, passed into the presence of God on June 19, 2017. Born on December 29, 1941, Dudley grew up in Terrell, Texas. His family attended Camp Ground Church, where he developed his gift for music—his lifelong passion.
After graduating from the University of North Texas and the University of Oklahoma, Dudley pursued opera before becoming a custom homebuilder. He later resumed his pursuit of music by opening a theater in Arkansas with his wife, Karen, before returning to Texas. His baritone voice expressed his love for God and is preserved in the 42 songs he recorded, which can be heard on iTunes and Amazon.com.
Dudley was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Wayne and Doris Stiles.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Stiles of Denton, her daughters, Beth and Jenny and her grandchildren, Dylan, Baylee, Gage, Ryan, Lauren, and Brooke. He is also survived by his sister, Brenda (Royce) Cooper of Lantana, brother, Jerry (Wanda) Stiles of Richardson, son, Wayne (Cathy) Stiles, of Aubrey, and grandchildren, Sarah Stiles and Katie Stiles.
Dudley's words, written to his son, form a fitting tribute: "I pray for the strength to live a Christ-like life before you in order that you may fully know Him and thereby know and claim life's true meaning."
A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on June 22, 2017, at Campground Cemetery in Terrell, less than a mile from where Dudley was born.
