Durwin Marshall "Mac" McDougal, 72, of Aubrey, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Denton, TX. He was born April 24, 1943 in Lamesa, TX to Harry and Viola (Long) McDougal. Durwin married his wife Carol McDougal on March 27, 1971 in Ft Worth, TX before moving to Aubrey, TX - 42 years ago. Sunday would have been Durwin and Carol's 45th wedding anniversary.
Durwin lives on through his wife, Carol McDougal; son Monty and wife Amy McDougal of ST Paul, TX; two sisters Brenda Blackburn and Glenda Gardner both of Ft Worth, TX; two granddaughters, Natalie and Kendall Wilson of ST Paul, TX; countless in-laws, outlaws, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.
Durwin was preceded in death by his parents.
Durwin served as a Sargent in the Army's 501st Armed Medical Corps in Germany. He worked much of his career at Victor Equipment Co. in Denton, TX as a machinist. Durwin's favorite activities included "Going up North" (Winstar) to play 3-card poker, fishing with family and friends, hunting with his son, and calling little boys "girls" / little girls "boys" much to their frustration.
Durwin, your family loves you and will miss you. Rest in Peace.
Visitation will be Monday, March 28, 2016, from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Buddy Owens of Gateway Baptist Church officiating.
