Dwain Lee Darnell, 55, of Ponder passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was born January 21, 1960 in Dallas to Dolphus Lee Darnell and Judy Fort Darnell (Yoakum). He married Kay Buckner on March 19, 1988 in Ponder. He was a self-employed handyman and a member of First Baptist Church of Ponder.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral service will be Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 2:30 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Ponder with Rev. Kim Broadstreet officiating. Burial will follow at Eakins Cemetery in Ponder.

Dwain is survived by his wife, Kay of Ponder; daughters, Amber Castillo and husband, Frank of Ponder and Delanie Temple and husband, Joe of Ponder; sister, Colleen McDonald of Paris; brother, Kelly Yoakum of Paris and 3 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jamie Lynn Darnell.
