Earl Wayne Pigg, 74, of Decatur, Texas passed away on January 13, 2025, at his home.

He was born in Center, Texas on March 14, 1950, to Timothy and Frances Imogene Pigg.
Earl married Jan in 1985 combining their two families as one.  He loved his family dearly.  Earl was a Texas State Highway Patrol Trooper in his younger years and later in life worked closely with Jan in nursing homes heading up the Maintenance Department.  He enjoyed working with the elderly during this time.  He eventually retired and helped to drive Jan for long hours during her hospice nursing days and stayed home to help care for his grandchildren when needed. Earl loved to fish and all that knew him knew that he loved to tell stories of his days as a State Trooper or younger years, cutting up with his very loved brother Deryl.  Earl had a great sense of humor, and his mischievous grin and sparkling eyes were a tell-tale sign that the story being told was going to have you in stitches.

He is survived by his wife, Jan Pigg of Decatur, Texas, daughters, Michelle Jay and her husband, Kevin of Lufkin, Texas, Kim Neathery and her husband, Kevin of Decatur, Texas, sons, Michael Eric Paxon (Pigg) and wife Barbara of Tyler, Texas, Nicholas Guinn of Tampa, Florida, and Greg Guinn of Napa, California, brother, Deryl Pigg and wife, Kathi of Columbus, Texas, niece Alicia Pigg of Houston, Texas, 8 grandchildren, John David Jay, Riley Jay, Chase Neathery, Avery Gates (Neathery), Timothy James Paxon, Sean Paxon, Elizabeth Paxon, Elise Guinn.
