Obituary

Earl Wallace (Wally) Cooper, 87, of Denton, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012. He was born on January 31, 1925 in Trenton, TX to Jack Cooper and Imogene Wallace Cooper. He married Margaret Hall in Richardson. He served in the United States Army as a Private 1St Class during WWII and received a purple heart. He was a member of the Frontier Baptist Church in Brackettville and was retired from the Environmental Protection Agency Region Six as an On Scene Coordinator.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 from 6-8 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at 2:15 pm at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Wally is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughter, Cydney Cooper Braswell and husband Ray; step daughters, Diane Haney Dayton and husband Don, Denise Haney Good and husband Clyde, and Sandra Haney Flato and husband Phil; son, John Keith Cooper and wife Nadine; step son, Don Haney and wife Margaret; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and two nephews, Ronnie Basinger and wife Bobbie and Jerry Basinger and wife Barbara. He is preceded in death by his sister, Maxalene Basinger and his parents.
