Eddie graduated from Borger High School, and he spent much of his professional life as a dedicated worker. He worked at Denton Glass & Mirror from 1966 to 1981, followed by another 24 years with Peterbilt, where he earned the respect and admiration of many. After years of hard work, he retired, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and integrity.
On December 17, 1960, Eddie married the love of his life, Margaret Goodman. Together they built a strong and loving family, and their bond was a guiding light for all. He took great pride in being a grandparent to seven grandchildren and a great-grandparent to ten great-grandchildren, cherishing every moment spent with them.
Eddie's personality was as warm as his spirit. He was known for his loving heart and kindness, often seen joking and sharing laughter with those around him. A true family man at his core, he understood the value of family and cherished every gathering. His devotion extended beyond his immediate family; he served as a deacon at Highland Baptist Church, where his faith and commitment enriched the community.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Blackwell, his children, and his siblings: Sue Wagnon and her husband Terry, Butch Morris and his wife Diane, Jerry Morris and his wife Fay, Larry Preston and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
