Eddie "Bird" Clyde Harris, 74, of Sanger, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 28, 2017 at home surrounded by family. He was born on January 22, 1943 in Denton, Texas to Sonny Clyde and Catherine (Hill) Harris. Bird was married to the love of his life Alta (Burkeen)"Cookie", who preceded him in death.

Bird enjoyed football season especially watching the Dallas Cowboys and watching NASCAR. He was and avid fisherman and loved to go hunting.

Bird is survived by three daughters, Ginger Harris Heard , Cathy Harris, Lori Harris Payne and husband John Payne , five grandchildren, Rebecca Smith, R.D. Smith, Kristie Wright and husband Jorden Wright, Skyler Payne, Corey Payne, three great grandchildren, Cash Wright, Sidney Wright, Josie Wright, three special nephews, Kieth Allen and son, Forest Allen, Paul Williams, John Williams and his sweet brown dog Beya
