Edna Navarro Austin passed away January 5, 2013 in Denton, TX. She was born on July 16, 1928 to the parents of Rafael Navarro and Aurora Cardenas in Del Rio, TX. Edna attended San Antonio College where she gained a Registered Nursing degree and went on to work at Westgate Hospital as a floor nurse and single day surgery. Edna married Larry Austin on October 31, 1953 in San Antonio, TX. Edna was a member of the St. Mark Catholic Church in Denton, TX.


She is preceded in death by her Parents. Survivors are her husband Larry Austin of Denton, Daughter's Elizabeth Marie Sharpe of Jacksonville, FL, Thais Austin of Washington D.C. and Aurora Pucciarello of Bartonville, Son's L. Don Austin Jr. of Plano and David Austin of Monroe, GA, Sister's Connie Pena of San Antonio, Olga Fischel of San Antonio, Yolanda Lutustaski of San Antonio, and Aurora Derdinski of Madison, WI, One brother Armando Navarro of San Francisco, CA, thirteen Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren.


The family will be at DeBerry Funeral Directors Monday night from 6 to 8:00 p.m. for visitation, there will be a Rosary Service at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 8th at the St. Mark Catholic Church, Father George will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
