Edward Phillip Maglaughlin 83 of Denton passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at the Denton Regional Medical Center. He was born in Collinsville TX to John Ira and Mettie Jewel Hall Maglaughlin. Ed received his Master of Arts at the University of North Texas in Chemistry. He married Sue N. Grotjohn on Jun 9, 1967 in Pampa, TX. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. They were members of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was a Chemical Supervisor for Celeanse prior to retirement. He also taught chemistry at Little Elm High School for several years
There will be a memorial service at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 18, 2015 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. John Peel officiating.
Mr. Maglaughlin is survived by his wife, Sue N. Maglaughlin of Denton, daughter, Linda Maglaughlin of Amarillo, son John Maglaughlin of Amarillo, step daughter, Susie Staus and husband Jimmy of Lake Charles LA, step son, Kris Botkin and wife D'Ann of Midland, sister, Peggy Jo Melvin of Laurel, MS, brother, Ralph Maglaughlin of Collinsville, numerous Nieces and Nephews, 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother.
