Edward Lee Powell, 78, of Denton, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012. He was born on July 14, 1933 in Montague County, TX to Arthur Powell and Virgie Harelson Powell. He married June Casey and was a Past Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge, Saint Jo, Texas. He was the owner and operator of Denton Commercial Printing in Denton, TX for 40 years. He was also a member of Christ The Servant Lutheran Church in Denton.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2-4 pm at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A funeral service will be on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 10:30 am at Christ The Servant Lutheran Church in Denton. A Masonic graveside service will be at 2:30 pm at Starkey Cemetery in Montague County, TX.

Edward is survived by his wife, June; daughter, Lori Bryson; sons, Doug and Richard Powell; step daughters, Vicki Trammell, LeAnn Tivis, and Jennifer Davis; sisters, Kathleen Crain, Grace Talley, and Donna Lemon; brothers, Ray, Bobby and Spec Powell; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sally Lipskey; and brothers, Wayne, Jim, and Calvin Powell.
