Edythe Annis Sullivan Normile, 86, died May 30, 2016 at Selah Ridge Residential Care Denton, Texas. She was born October 16, 1929 in Denton, Texas to William Clem and Louie George (Douglass) Sullivan. She married Joseph Leverett Normile December 12, 1948 in Denton, Texas. They were married 66 years.
She graduated from North Texas Demonstration School at North Texas Teachers College. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha for 19 years. She was a homemaker and avid quilter. She was a Baptist.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters Ann Normile Lewis and husband David of Carrollton, Texas, Jan Normile Steger of Denton, Texas, grandchildren Laurie Lewis Harris and husband Bryan of College Station, Texas, Lisa Lewis Ross and husband David of Katy, Texas, Tiffany Taber of Bryan, Texas, Kevin Taber of Lubbock, Texas, and Ashley Taber of Dallas, Texas, and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two sisters: LuAlye Sullivan Korn and Billie Jean Sullivan.
The family would like to thank the owners and staff of Selah Ridge Healthcare and Ann's Haven Hospice for the loving care they provided Edy during her last days.
A graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Friday June 3, 2016 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any animal shelter of choice or Ann's Haven Hospice.
