Obituary
Effie Lewellen Smith, 92, of Denton, went to be with her family in heaven on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was born on July 12, 1922 in Chichasha, OK to Thomas Jefferson Lewellen and Mary Grovina Newman Lewellen. She was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 am at Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating.
Effie is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ann Polk; grandchildren, Kathi Randolph and Deborah Pittsinger; great-grandchildren, Jacklyn Platt, Clinton Moon, Monica Moon, and Austin Pittsinger; and great great-grandchildren, Haylee Moon, Brylee Moon, and Riley Platt. She is preceded in death by her parents.
