Elaine M. Himpel, 88, of Denton passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton. She was born September 3, 1924 in Tonganoxie, KS to Lawrence and Aileen Davis Messmore. She attended St. Luke's School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse for many years prior to her retirement. Elaine married Billy Himpel in Kansas on November 15, 1942. He preceded her in death. They were members of the Heritage United Methodist Church in Olathe, KS.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Survivors include a daughter, Marti Conley of Denton, son, John Himpel of Ballwin MO, grandchildren, Kim Sanchez, Paul Conley, Sergei Himpel, Vika Himpel and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a son, Robert Todd Himpel.
