Elbert (Junior) C. Stanford Jr., 78 of Denton passed away at his home on April 4, 2015. Elbert was born on March 22, 1937 to Elbert and Ola Pearl (Leatherwood) Stanford in Argyle, Texas.
Elbert was a graduate of Denton High School and Married Shirley Crose on October 13, 1956 and was the Co-Owner of Stanford Excavation and a part time employee of Stanford Muffler and Automotive of Denton.

He is survived by his Sons; Randal Lee Stanford Sr, his fiancé, Penny Rudd. of Denton, Ronald Dean Stanford of Denton; one sister, Lorene Mercer of Denton, four grandchildren; Randal Lee Stanford Jr., Rachael Lynn King, Nan Stanford and Hannah Stanford, one great grandchild, Hannah Rose King and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Stanford, brother, Calvin Elbert Stanford and John Thomas Stanford and sister, Billie Jean Arnold.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 6-8 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Graham – Argyle Cemetery in Argyle, Texas.
