Elizabeth Lynn Noles Davis (Lynn) passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on February 18, 1948, in Denton, Texas, to Nat Noles and Frances Beth Tobin Noles.
A lifelong resident of Denton, Lynn graduated from Denton High School in 1966. On August 26, 1967, she married her high school sweetheart, Charles N. Davis III. Together they shared a devoted and loving marriage for 57 years until Charlie's passing in May 2025.
Lynn earned a degree in Elementary Education from North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She began her career as an elementary school teacher, a role she treasured for several years before dedicating herself full-time to her family following the birth of her daughter in 1978.
Throughout her life, Lynn remained deeply involved in the Denton community. She was an active member of the Denton Christian Women's Club and the Denton Benefit League, where she developed lasting friendships and generously shared her time and talents in service to others. While she embraced many roles throughout her life, her greatest joy was being "Mimi" to her three grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and took immense pride in watching them grow and flourish.
Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charlie Davis; her parents, Nat and Frances Noles; her grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her daughter, Piper Davis, and wife, Christy Hansel, of Denton; her cherished grandchildren, Harris, Carter, and Greyson Davis-Hansel; her sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; cousins; and countless dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, warmth, and enduring love.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers who supported Lynn over the past five years, with special appreciation to Sylvia Hilinski for her unwavering care and support during the last three years. The family also sincerely thanks William Ajiboye and the entire Three Oaks Hospice team for the exceptional care and comfort they provided.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of Lynn's life on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, followed by burial at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Three Oaks Hospice Foundation in Lynn’s memory.
