Ella Jean Sprabeary, 92, of Denton, Texas went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at home surrounded by family. She was born on February 24, 1925 to James Randall and Lorraine (Davis) Newman. She was married Henry Sprabeary on June 29, 1946.

She graduated from Texas State College for Woman in 1949, Ella was an elementary teacher for 32 years before retiring to take care of her parents in 1981.

Ella is survived by her brother, Randall Newman of Lebanon, TN. and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry, parents, J.R. and Lorraine Newman, brother, J.R. Newman.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 9, 2017 at DeBerry Funeral Directors from 6-8 P.M. Interment will be at Taft Memorial Park in Taft, Texas.
