Obituary

Ellen Meyrle Reynolds, 76, of Sanger passed away on September 16, 2021, at her home in Sanger. She was born in Quitman, Texas to Cisero and Maggie (Baxley) Copeland.

On September 16th, Meyrle left her earthly body and joined the angels in heaven. If Meyrle were here to tell her story, she would say that she was loved.

In 1976 James & Meyrle moved their family to Sanger, where Meyrle chose to stay and raise her family after James's passing. Sanger is a community of family and Meyrle knew she would need help from this army, to raise her children. That her greatest accomplishment in life was her children, and that she had the best grandkids and great grandkids this side of heaven.

Meyrle loved unconditionally and was loved by many. If you knew her you couldn't help but love her.  Back in the days when we had home phones. Meyrle was listed as E.M. Reynolds in the phone book, her kids teased her and said it stood for "Everyone's Mom". If you knew her or any of her children, you know this to be true. Meyrle loved and welcomed many into her home, where she just let you be you.  She loved to cook and spend time with her family. If you ever had a conversation with her, she'd take the opportunity to brag about them. She was a proud Mother, Mamaw & great Mamaw.

Meyrle always had a smile on her face, and the most contagious giggle. She was happy and content to be at home, to be close to her family, never asking for anything, never traveling, because everything she needed was right here. I believe her advice to us would be, love well my friends, treasure your family and if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and savior, todays a great day to get to know Him.

Don't cry for me, as I have finally decided to travel to paradise with my Lord, I am having a great family reunion and I will see you again someday,

And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:10

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Ann Parsons and husband Dennis of Sadler, Texas,  Sherry Reynolds of Sanger and Christy Sparlin and her husband Curtis of Krum, her son, James Reynolds and his wife Shannon of Sanger, Texas, 2 brothers, Charles Copeland of Howe, Tx., Tommy Copland of Denton, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Reynolds, her mother and father, sisters, Mary Obier, and Geraldine Smith and one grandchild, Cooper Sparlin.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 5-7 PM at Bolivar Baptist Church in Sanger. Funeral Services will be held at Boliver Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Rowlett Creek Cemetery in Plano, Texas.
