Ellie Kate Rodgers was born on December 22, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at 9:19 PM, weighing 4 lbs. 2 oz. and was 17.5” long. She entered the gates of Heaven and was welcomed with open arms by Jesus Christ the following day on December 23, 2025. Her Mommy (Raquel Rodgers) and Daddy (Cooper Rodgers) comforted, held, and loved their baby Ellie in her final hours and moments on this Earth.

Baby Ellie was ready to meet her parents and came out in only 3 pushes. She was placed on her Mommy’s tummy and held by both of her loving parents for 2 minutes until her cord was clamped. Ellie was the most gorgeous baby, with a beautiful face, cute lips, and a perfect little nose. Her loving parents were in awe of how perfect she was.

Ellie was then handed over to the NICU team in the hospital room, who immediately began giving her oxygen and observing her vitals. Ellie was quickly transported to the NICU with a tube in her lungs, accompanied by her Daddy while her Mommy was in recovery.

After a couple of hours, Mommy and Daddy were able to be with Ellie together in the NICU. The moment they walked in, Ellie opened her eyes and looked at her parents while she received an echocardiogram on the table. The nurses told Raquel and Cooper that was the first time she had opened her eyes since being in the delivery room. She knew her Mommy and Daddy were right there with her.

Hours later, around 4:00 AM, the doctor went into Raquel and Cooper’s hospital room to tell them Ellie had struggled for a few hours without them. They went down to the NICU and were able to hold baby Ellie skin to skin for the remaining precious time they had with her. Little Ellie passed around 11:20 AM in her Mommy’s arms. Ellie felt the overwhelming love of her parents in her final moments, as they both comforted, held, and loved on her until the end.

Ellie Kate Rodgers is survived by her loving parents Raquel Rodgers and Jonathan Cooper Rodgers; grandparents Carlos and Teresa Gonzalez, Todd and Carrie Rodgers; great-grandparents Jane Jones, Carlos and Hilda Gonzales, Dennis and Mel Rueffer; aunts and uncles Erica (Zach) Allen, Emily (Ben) Parks, Lanie (Pierce) Davies; cousins John Preston, Finley, Sloane, and Caleb Parks, and Avery Allen; and many other loving family members.
