Elmer "Allen Reeves" Burbo, Jr., passed away on March 7, 2017 in Denton, Texas. He was born on October 23, 1941 to Elmer and Agnes (Burritt) Burbo in Worchester, Mass.

He served in the US Army and was a musician. He played with several famous people, such as Merle Haggard and George Jones. He married Barbara Ann Canady in 2000 in Krum, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters, seven sisters and one brother and numerous grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father and sister.

The family will receive friends at DeBerry Funeral Directors on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:30 P.M. with interment to follow at Bolivar Cemetery in Sanger, Texas.
