Elvira Altagracia Nolasco, 72, Crossroads, Tx went to be with the Lord on July 6, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born on October 23, 1943 in Dominican Republic to Ramon and Guillermina Nolasco.

A woman that always put family first, she made great sacrifices to make sure her family was well taken care of. She was a pillar not only in her home but also in her community. She was a teacher in Puerto Rico, she taught first through twelfth grade during her career. She valued education and encouraged others to pursuit to have an education. She got her Masters Degree later in life the same day her daughter got her Bachelors. She fought valiantly cancer with courage and grace. She touched the lives of everyone she met in such a positive loving way.

She was a beautiful tender soul that was always helping her family and community. She had great faith and love for God and others.

She is survived by her daughter, Elsa A. Rivera, son, Juan Jimenez, sister, Milagros Jimenez, brothers, Ramon Nolasco, Juan D. Jimenez, Rafael Jimenez and two grandchildren, Angelica and Jesus Rivera.

Elvira is preceded in death by her parents Ramon and Guillermina.

Visitation will be Sunday July, 10, 2016 from 2-4 P.M. with Rosary starting at 4:00 P.M. at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday July 11, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of the Immaculate Conception Church in Denton.
