Emily A. Pfitzenmaier passed away on June 7, 2012 in Denton, TX. She was born on January 28, 1921 in Lake Bronson, MN to John and Gina Forsell.
She graduated from the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing with her Nursing degree. She began her career honorably serving our country in WWII as an Army Nurse on a hospital ship. She was discharged in 1944. On May 25, 1946 she married the love of her life Richard H. Pfitzenmaier in Lake Bronson. Together they had two children, Robert and Marianne. Emily loved the Lord and was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard and her son Robert Pfitzenmaier. She is survived by her daughter, Marianne and her husband Eric Burns of Corinth, TX; 3 grandchildren, Matt and his wife Laci Burns of Brownwood, TX, Pat and his wife Kim Burns of Krum, TX and Adam Burns and his fiancé Sarah Favinger of Columbus, OH; 4 great grandchildren, Eric Burns, Weston Burns, Jackson Burns and Olivia Burns.
Visitation will be held June 16, 2012 from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm at Good Samaritan Village Chapel Denton, TX. A funeral service will follow at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be to St. Paul Building Fund or First Christian Church Outreach or charity of your choice.
