Emma's journey began in the warm heart of Montague, where she was born to her loving parents, Jake and Elsie Dane, who preceded her in death. Throughout her life, Emma remained deeply connected to her roots and the values instilled in her by her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Smith, granddaughter, Kim Phillips, her three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, and Morgan Caldwell, her two great-great-grandchildren, Myla and Griffin, and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members who hold a special place in her heart and carry forward her enduring spirit. Emma’s close family ties were a testament to her commitment to love and nurture those around her.
A visitation honoring Emma will be held on April 14, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bill DeBerry Funeral Directors, located at 2025 W University Dr, Denton, Texas 76201. This will be an opportunity for family, friends, and community members to come together, share their memories, and pay their respects. The funeral service will take place the following day, April 15, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at the same location followed by her interment at Roselawn Memorial Park
