Eulene Faye Hamilton, 82, died on January 25, 2017, at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, TX. The daughter of the late Oliver "Bodge" Grant and Alma Jewel Grant, Eulene was born on March 14, 1934 in McAlester, OK.
Eulene graduated from McAlester High School in 1951 and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College. She worked for many years as a telephone operator with Southwestern Bell and retired from the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant. She was preceded in death by her sisters Joy Grant and Beverly Kitchens.
Eulene leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter, Kristen Keeth of New York, NY, her son, David Hamilton of Argyle, TX, her granddaughter LaShawn Williams and her husband James, of Independence, MO, her grandson, Jordan Hamilton of Salina, KS, three nieces, Misti Waldeck of Reno, NV, Charla Kitchens of Tecumseh, OK, and Kim LaShum and her husband Edward of Shawnee, OK; one great nephew, Michael Kitchens and his wife Alison of Oklahoma City, OK; one great niece, Kayla Woody and her husband Jeremy of Shawnee, OK; her brother-in-law Charles Kitchens of Shawnee, OK; two special cousins, JoAnne Neal of Hughes Springs, TX, and Minnie Mantooth of Ben Wheeler, TX, as well as numerous close
friends and extended family members.
Eulene had a very loving and generous heart. She was an accomplished poet and crafter/seamstress, as well as an avid reader, gardener, and animal rights supporter. Her family will be forever grateful for the opportunity to have shared their lives with her.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton for their support in her final days. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the American Kidney Fund, American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD, 20852 or to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA, 22312.
