Euvela Ilene Jones, 93, of Denton went to be with the Lord on April 2, 2017 in Denton, Texas. She was born on February 21, 1924 in Alvord, Texas. She was married to the late V.J. Jones.

Euvela served the Lord through out her life, prayed with her loved ones and even cared for the children in her church nursery. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother devoted to her family. She enjoyed listening to quartet gospel music and reading her bible everyday. She often gathered with her sisters, Burtis and Helen McKinney to enjoy a game of Canasta while visiting with her other sister Melba Siegmund.  Her favorite color was yellow and her sense of humor brought laughter and joy to the people around her.

Euvela is survived by sons, Sherman Jones and wife Janet of Cypress, Texas, Darrell Jones and wife Janet of Frisco, Texas, daughters, Diana Jones of Denton, Texas, Linda White of Corpus Christi, Texas; eleven grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren .

A graveside service will be held on April 7, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Nocona Cemetery in Nocona, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Euvela Ilene Jones.
