Fernando M. Martinez, 66, of Hurst, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Denton. He was born in Harlingen, Texas on May 30, 1951 to Anacleto and Socorro (Morales) Martinez.

Fernando attended Harlingen I.S.D schools. He opened and managed El Chico in Denton, Texas.  Fernando loved music, movies and shared this love with both of his sons throughout the years.

Fernando is survived by his two sons Roberto Martinez of Lewisville and Fernando Martinez Jr. of Roanoke, step children, Steven Gamble, David Gamble, Liza Hernandez and Diana Hernandez.

He will be missed dearly by family and friends. He will always be remembered as a happy, sweet and caring person who would do anything for the people he loved.

He is preceded in death by his parents, mother, Socorro Morales and father, Anacleto Martinez.

A memorial service for Fernando will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors with a family visitation after the service.
