Forrest Kade Lindberg, 22, passed away Friday, May 22, 2026, in Whitesboro, Texas. Forrest was born June 10, 2003 in Denton, Texas to Janell Raye Cotten and Kristian Robert Lindberg. He spent most of his live raised in Sanger, Texas where he attended Pre-K through high school academically.
Forrest was the true meaning of “One of a kind”, down to the fact he was the only boy with 4 sibling sisters. The family joke all his life was he was the favorite, obviously since he was the single son out of all the daughters. His special talent was his smile, and his ability to put anyone in a better mood just by having a conversation with him. His smile would light up the darkest of rooms, and he was not worried about looking silly while doing anything to make someone laugh.
Forrest loved his family deeply, and was willing to do anything for them. Most kids would rather spend time with friends rather than work at the wood lot with his Grandpa Cody, and step-dad Jon, but not Forrest. He loved his time with them and looked forward to the weekend work.
Forrest was also a dreamer, with big aspirations and ideas. He would spend weeks at a time with his grandfather Buster on Lake Whitney fishing, boating, and even wrecking the golf cart. When he would come home from his visits, he had so many stories and ideas of what he wanted to do next.
Forrest would later meet his match, Laci Mcdearmon in 2024; they became inseparable. They moved together to Whitesboro, Texas where they began to plan for the future. They spent most Friday nights at his mother’s house visiting and listening to music, then Saturday morning working on their land. They had monthly family dinner nights at his father's house with siblings, telling the most outlandish stories of what happened since the last dinner night.
The true high point in his life was the moment he found out he was going to be a daddy of his own. He was prepared to give that baby boy anything in this whole world. The smile on his face and the excitement in his eyes let everyone know how good of a father he would be. Forrest truly lived life by the beat of his own drum, all the way up until his final moments. His son will know that his father loved him before he ever even got the chance to meet him. He will know that his dad would have done absolutely anything for him.
Survivors include: Soul mate Laci Mcdearmon, unborn son River Kade-Ray Lindberg, mother Janell Cotten and husband Jon Cotten, father Kristian Lindberg and wife Lynette Bernal, sister Elizabeth Cisneros and wife Marina Anthony-Cisneros, sister Tristen O’Briant and husband Ryan O’Briant and niece Kinley O’Briant, sister Brooklyn Lawson, sister Kirsten Lindberg, step-sister Mia Rivera, step- sister Arianna Mouton, step-sister Danielle Bernal, step-brother Jonathan Reyna, Grandparents Cinthia and Jerry Legge, Mary Nell and Dan Cogburn, Cody Cotten, including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his uncle Forrest Martin Lindberg, Step-mother Krysta L. Kennedy, Grandfather George R. Lindberg, Grandfather Doug Williams, Great grandparents Peggy and George A. Lindberg
