Obituary

Frances Elizabeth Hardy passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, in Denton, Texas.  She was born in Vernon, Texas to James and Carolyn Morris on April 15, 1942.  Frances was a dedicated daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend to many.  But most of all she cherished her role as a mother and Nana.

Frances was most happy when she was surrounded by family and friends as they gathered for food, conversation, and any type of card or board game.  She believed in a "big breakfast" on Sunday mornings, and hosting Sunday afternoon dinners where any number of kids, grandkids, great-grandkids,  family and friends had an open invitation.

Her passion in life was to be surrounded by the people she loved, and to make them happy.  Regardless of her sometimes-personal struggle, she always had a place to stay and food to eat to any number of family and friends in need.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Glenda Hill and Shirley Riney, brothers Franklin Morris and Henry Morris, and son Samuel Trae Adams.  I'm sure there is a joyous reunion taking place.

Frances is survived by her sister, Jenell Morris Barton and husband Robert of San Antonio, Tx., son Randy Robinson and wife Sandra of Denton, Tx., daughters Kim Stewart of Providence Village, Tx., Gayla Cummings and husband James of San Antonio, Tx., and Tammy Robinson and Richard Stroup of Denton, Tx.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Brandon Stewart and wife Courtney of Denton, Tx., Samantha Alexander and husband Deke Alexander of McKinney, Tx., Adam Parsons and wife Melanie of Krum, Tx., Josh Parsons and wife Holly of Krum, Tx., Meygan Stepken of Denton, Tx., and Shelly Jones and husband Jeffrey of Lake Charles, LA.  18 great-grandchildren and many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A special thank you to Dr. Carlos Cruz and the ICMU and ICU staff of Medical City Denton for the special care that they provided.
