Frank William Deardorff, 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on July 23, 2017 in Denton, Texas. He was born on November 22, 1934 in South Bend, IN to Fred and Ruth (Hughes) Deardorff. Frank attended Richmond High School, Class of 1952, and graduated Purdue University with a Pharmacy Degree 1957. He entered the U.S. Air Force 1958 and was assigned to Montgomery, AL and Valdosta, GA. After leaving the Air Force, his professional career began as a pharmacist working with his brother, Richard Deardorff, in South Bend, IN. He continued his career as an Executive in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Frank was honored with a distinguished award from the President's Council of Purdue University.
The love for his family and friends truly exemplifies the incredible life he lived. Frank enjoyed traveling with his wife, Beverlee, and family which encompassed all seven (7) continents. His passion for golf, sporting events, watching his grandchildren participate in sports, a great glass of wine with friends, and singing in the choir, were some of his biggest enjoyments.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Beverlee, daughter, Julie Bridges and Gregg Frizen of Groveland, FL; son, Frank W. Deardorff, II and wife, Rene'e of Hillsborough, NJ; loving grandchildren, Tamara, Tyler, Alexander, Michelle and Jacqueline; brothers Richard Deardorff, wife, Rose Mary, and Ross Deardorff, wife, Carol, of Indiana; sister, Lois Forman and husband, John, of California; sister and brother in law, Herb and Jill Kaeuper of Highland Village, TX. There are many loving nieces and newphews who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of his incredible life will be held at Argyle United Methodist Church in Argyle, Texas on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 11:30 with burial services immediately following at the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, it would be greatly appreciated.
