Obituary

Franklin (Frank) Matthew Harmon, age 84 (December 3, 1933 – February 14, 2018), passed away at his home in Denton, Texas. Frank was born in Texas and raised in Louisiana.

He joined the Air Force in 1952 and proudly served for 23 years. As a veteran of Korea and Vietnam he served in a variety of positions and was honorably discharged as a Tech Sergeant. After retirement from the Air Force, Frank continued to work in various other jobs. He was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Frank is survived by his wife, Sharon Harmon, brother-in-law Lawrence Green (Frances), sister-in-law Kathy Wilson (Ron), son Kip Harmon (Cindy) Leander, Texas; daughter Kim Cook (Patrick) Denton, Texas; and Kristi Tarrant (Bobby) Valley View, Texas; grandchildren Duncan Harmon, William (Rylee) Harmon, Sandy Martin, Bre Cook, Sean Cook, Emery Tarrant, Will Tarrant and 6 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on March 17, 2018 at 1:00 pm at the Good Samaritan Village Chapel in Denton, Texas with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church or Good Samaritan Village of Denton, Texas.
