Gail Jean Wesson, 61, of Denton, TX, entered eternal rest with her Lord on February 9, 2016.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, February 11 at Denton Bible Church Chapel at 2:00 P.M. with a reception to follow the service. Pastor Tom Nelson will be officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M Friday February 12, 2016 at Old Nashville Cemetery, Nashville, AR.

Gail was born in Portsmouth, VA on Jan 5, 1955 into an Air Force family. Always loving travel, her first international trip was to Japan at the age of 6 months. Returning to the US in time to start elementary school, Gail lived in Oklahoma, Nebraska and Alaska before moving to Denton, TX where she graduated from Denton High School. Her passion for studies led her to receive degrees in Music, Science, and Technology, ultimately becoming an RN in 2008.

Gail was an active member of Denton Bible Church, where she enjoyed a leadership role with the Tapestry Ministry group.

Gail had several careers including teaching science at Denton High School, interning with Compaq Computer, and finally as a school nurse at Anne Frank Elementary in Addison, TX.

Gail is survived by loving brothers, Larry and wife Sherryl, Dallas, TX; Eric and wife Nancy, Greenville, TX; and Dale and wife, Pam, Rowlett, TX; brother-in-law Virgel Horn, Garland, TX; as well as 12 nieces and nephews, 22 great-nieces and great-nephews, and numerous friends.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Col. Frederick Wesson Jr. and Samuella, and her sister Cheryl Wesson Horn.

Memorial donations may be given to the Denton Bible Cares ministry of Denton Bible Church. The family of Gail Jean Wesson wishes to thank Denton Bible Cares and the Cancer Support group for their ministry to Gail.
