Garland Holley, 79 of Krum passed away on February 7, 2018 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born in Farmers Branch, Texas to M.E. "Mike" and Lillian Lucille (Corbin) Holley on October 31, 1938.

A Farmer, A Rancher, A Custom Harvester and A Businessman, Dad was a man of many hats. But foremost, he was a family man. He loved his wife, kids, grandkids, and lately a Great grandchild!

He attended Krum High School and The University of North Texas.

Dad was proud to be from Krum, TX. Anywhere he went when people would ask where he was from, he proudly told them Krum, TX, not near Denton or near the Metroplex, just Krum, TX. And that was that. Let them figure it out he would say.

Dad was an avid outdoorsman. Having deer hunted in South Texas with his brother in law and good friends. They all hunted together for years, to Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming and finally back to good ole Texas as he called it.

He loved traveling in his RV with all his family. Trout fishing in Colorado was a favorite past time.

We have so many memories of our Dad/Grand Dad we couldn't possibly list them all. A true legend we will all miss.

He is survived by his daughter, Pam Otis and husband Mike of Denton, son, Philip Holley and wife Chris of Krum, grandchildren, Heather and Blake Sadler, Megan and Tyler Gray, Chelsi and Drew Troop, Cami Holley, Creed Holley and Case Holley and one great-grandchild, Payton Gray.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas from 6-8 PM. Services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors at 10:00 A.M. with the Reverend Carl W. Lane officiating. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum, Texas.
