Garry Dow Clampitt, 62, of Sanger, departed to his eternal home on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in Denton. He was born August 15, 1953 in Denton to J.D. and Mary E. Fuller Clampitt. He graduated from Denton High School and Cooke County Jr. College. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Wendy Wells on March 17, 1980 in Denton at the Little Chapel In The Woods. He was a mechanic and for many years worked in the construction trade.

A memorial service will be Friday, December 18, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating.

Garry is survived by his wife, Wendy, of Sanger; mother, Mary Clampitt of Denton; brother, Ted Clampitt and wife, Es, numerous nieces, nephews and family members. He is preceded in death by his father.
