Gary Don Farish passed away at his home in Krum, Texas on Friday, September 16, 2022. He was born in Corsicana, Texas to Clifford (Buddy) Farish and Robbie Adams Farish on September 19, 1944.
Gary served proudly in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant from 1966 to 1969. He was stationed in Libya as a missiles technical specialist.
Once returning home from Libya he completed his bachelor's degree and Master's Degree in Psychology from University of Texas at Dallas. He went on to work for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for over thirty years and retired as a call center area manager.
Gary enjoyed playing golf in his younger days, horseraces, playing chess, playing dominoes, finding new country musicians, and enjoying a nice meal with family. He was a great conversationalist and never met a stranger. He always took pride in dressing nice with the most stylish hats. His love for life, music, and family will be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Anthony Farish.
Gary will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 11. 2022.
He is survived by his daughter Natalie Garcia and husband Chris Garcia, grandchildren Macy Garcia, Sam Garcia, Jordan Pickrell and wife Brianna Pickrell, Jonsie Pickrell and husband Charles Woodberry, and sister Jan Farish Farrell of Winnie. TX. along with multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.
