Gary Edwin Hedges 55 of Aubrey passed away Monday, May 25, 2020 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.  He was born December 26, 1964 in Sherman, Texas to Gerald B. Hedges and Freda Johnson Hedges.  He attended Aubrey Public Schools and was a member of First Baptist Church of Aubrey.  Gary served in the US Air Force during the Cold War Era and was a Security Police Officer.  He was active in Volunteer Services in Denton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday June 3, 2020 from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at the Pavilion of the Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas.  Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Buddy Owens officiating.  He will be laid to rest at the Collinsville Cemetery.

Gary is survived by his mother Freda Hedges of Aubrey; his siblings all of Sanger, brother Greg Hedges and wife Kathleen; Libbi Brown; Gerri-Gayle Fowler and husband Robert. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews and one great niece.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald B. Hedges of Aubrey; paternal grandparents, Nathan and Letha Hedges of Whitesboro; and Everett and Christine Johnson of Collinsville.
