It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Powell, 76, of Denton and Granbury, TX, who died on October 23, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on February 22, 1948, in Oklahoma City, OK, Gary was a beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, known for his warm smile and infectious laughter. He had a knack for sharing funny stories and anecdotes, always striving to bring joy and laughter to those around him, and he never met a stranger.

Gary enjoyed a successful career in technology sales and was deeply passionate about his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rita; his children and their spouses, Chele and Channing, and Chad and Sonny; his grandchildren, Madison and Mason; and his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nancy Powell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1 PM at Singing Oaks Church of Christ in Denton, TX.

Gary will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of the many he touched.
