Gary Wayne Schein, 66 of Northlake, Texas passed away on July 3, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Elk City, Oklahoma on September 12, 1956, to Glen and Laudell Schein.

After graduating from the Northern Arizona University, he started his first job at Dresser Titan as a Service Supervisor, kickstarting a 43 year career in the oil industry as an engineer specializing in well completions and stimulations.  During his career, he received numerous recognitions including being selected the SPE 2017 Engineer of the Year.

In 1978, Gary met Marie Stallings as he was moving into his new apartment in Cushing, Oklahoma. Gary and Marie went on to have two children, Lisa and Laura.

In May of 2018, Gary retired and enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife Marie.  He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren! He also enjoyed volunteering and serving his church and community.

He is survived by his wife, Marie Schein, daughters, Lisa Dominy, and husband James, Laura Schein and wife, Jessica, sister, Kathy Schein, brothers, Kenneth and Michael Schein, and six grandchildren Lachlynn, Brynley, Lyndley, Braxtyn, Livie and Lincoln.  He was preceded in death by his father Glen and mother Laudell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Oak Hills Community Church in Argyle, Texas. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Frisco Cemetery in Yukon, Oklahoma.
