Gary "Butch" Schluter, 70 of Ponder, Texas passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 in Denton. Gary was born in Ft. Worth, Texas to Oscar and Jane Lyles Schluter on May 16, 1945. He married Donna Dudley on December 2, 1989 in Ponder. Gary was self-employed in electronic communications and a member of the First Baptist Church of Ponder.

He is survived by his wife, Donna, daughter, Sherri and husband Tommy Bean of Ponder, three sons Erick and wife Windy Schluter of Ponder, David and Scott and wife Codi Delcambre of Ponder and his sister Pam North and husband Jerry of Ponder, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at DeBerry Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Ponder. Burial will be at Eakins Cemetery immediately following the service.

Memorials may be made to the Ponder Volunteer Fire Department and the First Baptist Church of Ponder Building Fund.
