Gary Lynn Thomas, 69, of Denton passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at home. He was born in Paris, TX to Jasper Hardee and Mary Katherine Norrell Thomas August 9, 1948.

He attended Paris schools and graduated from UTA in 1971. Gary married Cynthia Moore in Paris on May 29, 1971. He was a member of Hope Community Nazarene Church of Denton where he also worked as the office manager. He served on many of the church boards.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents.

Gary is survived by his wife Cindy of Denton, his son James H. Thomas and wife Lisa of Fort Worth, grandchildren, Ericka and Justice.

A memorial service for Gary is scheduled for Saturday September 9, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Hope Community Nazarene Church. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Steve Speer, Dick Moore, Hunter Moore, Trey Moore and John McHale. He will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, TX at later date.
