Gayle Theresa Deaver Coleman

Gayle Coleman, 70, of Denton, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on July 2, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Gayle succumbed to a liver disease caused by diabetes. Gayle was a woman of strong faith, deep compassion and a love for children and animals. She devoted herself to her family, a career in early childhood education, and the Lord.
Gayle was born in San Jose, California to Garrett and Vera Deaver. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and studied education at San Jose State University. She married Thomas Clarence Coleman on August 17, 1963. She was a faithful and loyal wife for over 32 years. Gayle is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Bob Bobo; grandchildren, Michael and Anna Marie; siblings, Dencil Deaver, Donna Alger and Yvonne Sarti; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; ex-husband; son, Michael C. Coleman; and siblings: Marie Jackson, Norman Deaver, Gladys Deaver, Paul Deaver, Mary Gault, Charles Deaver, and Nancy Appleby.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 11:30am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denton, Texas. A light lunch will follow for family and friends. Interment will occur at a later date in Katy, Texas.
