It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gearldine Carroll Ruff, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this world peacefully on May 13, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on October 3, 1938, in Denton, Texas, Gearldine spent her life nurturing her family and creating a warm home.

Gearldine was a devoted homemaker, dedicating herself fully to her family and ensuring that their lives were filled with love and kindness. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—laughter shared at family gatherings, stories told across the dinner table, and the tender moments that made every day special.

She leaves behind her son, Jeff Ruff, and his loving wife, Val Ruff. Gearldine's light will continue to shine through her grandchildren, Cierra Brooke Beatty and William Marley Ruff, who will forever treasure the memories of their grandmother's unwavering love and support.

In honor of Gearldine’s life, a graveside service will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton, Texas, on May 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather as we reflect on the profound impact Gearldine had on all who knew her. Following the service, she will find her final resting place among the beauty of Roselawn, where she will be remembered for her gentle spirit and the legacy of love she leaves behind.

Gearldine was preceded in death by: her parents, William Carroll, Meryle Boyd Carroll, her husband, James “Blackie” Ruff in 1997 and son, James “Keith” Ruff in 2023.
