It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Eugene (Gene) Roblyer, who passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at the age of 79. Gene was born on August 11, 1945, to Jack Arnold and Betty Janice Roblyer in El Reno, OK He was preceded in death by his parents, his middle brother, Richard Arnold (2016), and his youngest brother, Gary Donald (2015).
Gene was a man who loved life and cherished his family. He had a deep passion for traveling and created many treasured memories with his loved ones over the years. One of his most cherished traditions was the Fourth of July family reunion, which he eagerly looked forward to each year. His love for family, fun, and togetherness was evident in everything he did.
Gene was also an avid sports enthusiast, with a lifelong involvement in the world of athletics. He played, coached, umpired, and was a devoted spectator of sports. His greatest joy came from watching his grandchildren play, and he loved hearing their stories about their athletic achievements and adventures. His support and encouragement were a constant source of pride for his family.
Gene leaves behind, Carolyn Kamp Roblyer, and their three sons Brian Norton Roblyer(wife Cheri), Kevin Jack Roblyer (wife Tanya), and Brad Henry Roblyer (wife Diana). His memory will be cherished by his grandchildren: Austin Cody, Cameron Nicklaus, Taylor Renee, Jaron Reese (wife Morgan), Layne Matthew, Lauren Elizabeth, and Clayton Henry. Gene was also a proud great-grandfather to Jaron and Morgan's daughter Hadley Rae.
A celebration of Gene's life will be held Sunday, March 16, from 3-5 pm at 2013 High Meadow Ct, Bartonville, Texas. On Monday, March 17 his remains will be placed between his mother & father in El Reno, OK cemetery at 2:00 p.m. after partaking at his request of his lifelong favorite meal at Johnnie Hamburgers in El Reno. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring his memory.
