Geneva Ruth (Hampton) Smith

Geneva Ruth Smith passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in Denton, Texas. She was born in Aubrey, Texas on February 8, 1930 to Willie (Bill) Hampton and Dovie (Redfearn) Hampton. Geneva enjoyed doing the Crossroads Club for 4 years, delivering Meals on wheels for 16 years, Cooking for Church Socials for over 50 years, and serving as secretary of the Liberty-Springhill school reunion for many years. Geneva loved working with her beautiful flowers around her yard, making homemade crafts and providing child care for many working parents. Geneva was a very strong Christian lady that loved the Lord and attended First Baptist Krugerville Church. Geneva was loved by everyone she met.

Preceeded in death by her husband of 66 years- Perman A. Smith. Her parents Willie (Bill) Hampton and Dovie (Redfearn) Hampton, her sister Joyce and brothers Dee and Bill Hampton.

Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Krugerville from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m . Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Geneva will be laid to rest at Belew Cemetery.

Geneva is survived by 2 daughters- Donna king and husband Gaylon of Krugerville, Brenda Sparkman and husband Curtis of Aubrey. 4 grandchildren; Angel King Buxton West and husband Ben. Matthew King and wife Kylie. Zeke Sparkman, and Kyle Sparkman and wife Chelsea. 7 great grandchildren: Noah, Joshua, Hope, Austin King, Michelle Buxton, Mason and Zuri Sparkman. Brother Kenneth Hampton of Bonham and sister-in-law and best friend Iva Hampton of Aubrey.

Pallbearers will be; Matt King, Noah King, Zeke Sparkman, Kyle Sparkman, Dennis Hamptom Sr., Danny Hampton.
