Obituary
George Ray Hatridge of Denton, Texas passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
George Ray was born October 2, 1949 in Krum, Texas to George Edgar and Dorothy Nell Hatridge.
George Ray graduated from Denton High School in 1968. He attended University of North Texas. After college, George Ray enlisted in the U.S. Marines. After leaving the service he went to work for GTE. He left GTE and began working for Nortel Networks as an Engineer until his retirement in April, 2001 due to a heart attack.
George Ray travelled and worked in Ireland, Australia, England, Japan, Brazil and most of the Continental United States while working for Nortel Networks.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George Edgar and Dorothy Nell Hatridge. George Ray is survived by his sister, Mary Nell Hatridge Mitchell, brother, Ricky Gene Hatridge, nephews, Michael Dale Mitchell, Jerry Dale Mitchell of Denton, and niece Sherry Ann Bentley of Boyd.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 26, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at DeBerry Funeral Directors. A service will be Monday, April 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
