George Richard Jones, 80, of Denton passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Denton. George was born on January 4, 1934 in Mathiston, Mississippi to Joseph and Martha Jones.
There will be a Graveside Service held Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Denton at 1 pm. Rusty Calhoon will officiate.
George is survived by his daughters, Charlott, and Dianna Jones of Mississippi; sons, Steven Jones and wife Lauri of Ponder, David Jones and wife Debbie of Cottonwood, and Mark Jones of Mississippi; sisters, Mattie Pearl Alderman of Tennessee, and Ella Wease Brock of Mississippi; brother, Willis Jones of Mississippi; and 15 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, J.C. Jones.
