Georgia Babb passed to her eternal home on December 23, 2019 after an incredible 101 years of giving to others. Born in Covington, KY to George and Mae Burkett, she danced her way into the heart of Charles Wayne Babb and they were married until his passing in 1987.  They raised two daughters, Vicki Nusz and Susan Dieterich. Both preceded their mother in death, but Georgia has left a legacy of love being survived by her brother, Bill Burkett and his family, and her grandchildren, Sharon Byrd, Bill Riddell, Carolyn Largent, Jamé Farrar and Michelle Shannon.  Also surviving her are 8 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Georgia was a professional dancer and joined the Holy Trinity School Staff in 1947 teaching dance and tumbling in an after-school program. In later years she assisted with the Learning Disabilities Program and taught Religion after becoming a Certified Catechist. She retired from Holy Trinity in 1992 after 45 years of dedicated service.

She also taught at St. Ann School in Dallas and beginning in the 1970's, for more than 20 years, she trained the Matachines who danced at Cathedral, as well as those who danced at Holy Trinity.

Georgia is being cremated and at her request there will be no memorial church service. Those wishing to honor her memory could do so through a donation to Holy Trinity Catholic School of Dallas.

Friends and Family will honor her life in an outdoor celebration on a date to be decided later in the year.
