Gerald D. Cogdell 82 of Denton, formerly of Argyle passed away Monday, December 19, 2022 in Denton. He was born on January 13, 1940, in Denton to William "Gus" and Dorothy Beatrice Brown Cogdell. He attended Denton Public Schools and graduated from Denton High School in 1958. He served in the US National Guard.

Gerald married Margaret Ann Erwin in 1958 in Ardmore, OK. She preceded him in death on August 24, 2018. He was employed by Moore Business Forms and later owned his own Printing Business in Houston.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Memorial Park with Rev. Buddy Owens officiating.

Gerald is survived by nieces: Cyndee Parrish, Linda Cogdell, Diane Chase, and Trisha Henderson; nephew Michael Cogdell and great niece Avery Leigh Henderson, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Jerry Glenn Cogdell, sister, Nancy Ann Henderson, brother Leon Cogdell and Harold Wayne Cogdell.
