Gerald Montgomery McKinney, 72, of McKinney, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2012. He was born on January 29, 1940 in Dallas to Thomas McKinney and Martha Hambreck McKinney. He married Dianna L. Avery in May of 1979, and served in the United States Air Force.

Interment will be at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Dianna; daughters, Katrina McKinney and Laura James; sister, Sue Hilpert; brother, Robert McKinney Sr.; 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gerald E. McKinney; stepson, James R. Fulton; 5 brothers; and 1 sister.
