Gerald "Jerry" R. Poirot, 69, of Forestburg, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Fort Worth. He was born September 17, 1946 in Clay County, Texas to Severin Sub Poirot and Mary Weber Poirot. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam War, was a member of VFW, NRA, Disabled Veterans, and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He held an Associate Degree in Real Estate and a Private Pilot license. He married Billie Foster on February 7, 1988 in Krum. He had retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he worked at the main post office in Denton.

Visitation and Rosary will be Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, September 28, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jeff Poirot officiating. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery in Henrietta, Texas. Pallbearers will be Joe Sallee, David Flowers, Phillip Spain, M.D. Gresham, Steve Briggs and Steve Deweber.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Billie; daughter, Melissa Davis; son, Brent Walker; sister, Darlene Walter of Hettick, IL; brother, Dale Poirot of Moore, OK; 3 grandchildren, Ethan Rankin "Kraut", Amy Koperski "Sunshine", and Morgan Walker "Punkin"; and 2 great grandchildren, Casen Rankin "Booger" and Adalyn Mathews "Addie Girl" and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Amy Poirot and Cecil and Dorothy Foster.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to VFW, DAV, or St. Judes.
